Our puppies all have their dew claws removed by our trusted licensed veterinarian. The veterinarian visits our home to perform the procedure and completes full physical examinations. This in‑home approach minimizes their exposure to potential infectious diseases that can be present in a clinic setting. During the visit, the veterinarian cleanly removes the dew claws, ensuring all associated bone is properly addressed. The area is then closed with surgical adhesive and monitored closely until fully healed.

We begin the puppy vaccination series at 6 weeks of age with a combination vaccine that helps protect against parvovirus, distemper, adenovirus, and parainfluenza. This first vaccine is administered in our home by a licensed veterinary technician. Your puppy will need to continue this series with booster vaccinations every 3–4 weeks until reaching 18 weeks old. Please remember that their immune system is not fully protected until approximately 10 days after the final booster in the series

Each puppy is implanted with a veterinary‑approved microchip around 6–7 weeks of age. This is performed cleanly and carefully by a licensed veterinary technician. New owners are responsible for registering the microchip once they bring their new family member home.  Microchip numbers and registration instructions will be provided at pickup.

A bile acids blood test is one of the tools used to diagnose a liver shunt. This condition does not go unnoticed—puppies typically begin showing subtle signs at a young age. Because of this, we do not subject every puppy to routine bile acids testing. Instead, if a puppy is not growing as expected or displays any slight differences from their littermates, we perform the test to ensure with complete confidence that a liver shunt is not the cause. Our puppies are under the continual observation of both a licensed veterinarian and a licensed veterinary technician, allowing us to identify and address any concerns promptly and responsibly.
