Health Guarantee

Health Guarantee

All puppies receive a full physical examination by a licensed veterinarian prior to going home. At the time of transfer, your puppy has been evaluated and given a clean bill of health.

The breeder guarantees each puppy for up to 7 days against any infectious diseases diagnosed after leaving the breeder’s care. Once the puppy is in the new owner’s possession, the breeder cannot be held responsible for any injuries, illnesses, or infectious diseases the puppy may encounter outside of the breeder’s care.

Your puppy is guaranteed against any proven congenital conditions until 12 months of age. If a major congenital condition is diagnosed, the breeder will accept the puppy back into their care for treatment, and the situation will be reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis.

Owners understand that all dogs may develop health concerns over time, and that giant‑breed dogs may be predisposed to certain conditions related to their size and breed characteristics, which may not be genetic.

Vaccination Requirements

All our puppies received a 5 way combination vaccine that helps protect against parvovirus, distemper, adenovirus, and parainfluenza at 6 weeks of age. Booster vaccinations are required to be given by the puppy buyer after they take over ownership of the puppy. Boosters are due in 3-4 week increments until the puppy is 18 weeks of age. A vaccination schedule will be supplied by the breeder. After completing the puppy series, your veterinarian should provide yearly boosters and wellness exams.

A rabies vaccination must be administered after 16 weeks of age, followed by a booster one year later to transition to a three‑year schedule, as permitted by local regulations.

Owners are responsible for keeping their puppy fully vaccinated throughout its life. Please consult your veterinarian regarding preventive care appropriate for your region, including heartworm, fleas, ticks, and parasites.

Optional vaccines including the Bordetella, Canine Influenza, and Leptospirosis and be given at as needed by your veterinarian's recommendations.

Care Requirements & Owner Responsibilities

The Buyer agrees to:

•             Provide routine veterinary care, including vaccinations and wellness exams.

•             Maintain proper nutrition, exercise, and a safe living environment.

•             Avoid public parks, pet stores, and high‑risk areas until two weeks after the puppy completes its                 full vaccination series.

•             Ensure the puppy receives appropriate training, socialization, and supervision.

•             Maintain the dog’s quality of life throughout its lifetime.

Welfare & Ethical Treatment

Mount Olympus maintains good standing with the American Kennel Club and is committed to the lifelong well‑being of every puppy we produce. We do not tolerate neglect, mistreatment, or abandonment of any of our offspring.

If a Mount Olympus dog is found in a shelter, rescue, or emergency veterinary facility due to neglect or mistreatment, the breeder reserves the right to pursue appropriate legal action. The welfare of the dog is our highest priority.

Surrender Clause

Mount Olympus is committed to the lifelong well‑being of every puppy we produce. If at any point you are unable to care for your Wolfhound, we will always accept the dog back into our care. Life can bring unexpected challenges, and we want our families to know their dog will always have a safe place to return.

This policy also applies to certain medical situations where treatment is possible but unaffordable. In such cases, we may resume ownership and provide care.

Returning a dog is done without refund, with an exception to healthy puppies that have recently left our care and are returned in a short period of time.  Unless it is a special circumstance, the dog will not be returned to the original owner once surrendered.

If a situation arises, please contact us so we can determine the best path forward for the dog’s well‑being.
